Welcome to Fens Vintage Image Montage

Our policy is to feature events we visit as exhibitors and occasionally as visitors, and report independently in words and pictures. We do not organise events ourselves, and do not endorse, feature or advertise shows that we do not attend. Our 2015 calendar is very similar to 2014 but with a couple of changes. Parson Drove Car & Bike Show will replace Whaplode Drove, and Ramsey Steam Rally in place of Hilgay Country Show. Other events will also include the East of England Vintage & Heritage Spectacular in April and Rackheath Vintage Fayre in May.

Whaplode Bluebell Classic Car Meets We learnt late last year about a series of classic car meets through the summer months at the Bluebell public house at Whaplode St Catherine between the towns of Holbeach & Spalding in south Lincolnshire, held on the first Wednesday of every month from May to September. Once through the pay gates regular visitors might have been a little bemused to find the initial row of trade stands that used to lead them into the middle of the site had disappeared in favour of a larger display areas for commercial vehicles. Taking full advantage of this, the Suffolk firm of Derek Cooper Transport had brought along around a 20-strong...  More/Images > > >

Little Downham Bygone & Organ Extravaganza The 23rd annual Little Downham Bygones & organ Extravaganza featured over 140 tractors, however, most of them were in miniature with a complete set of Universal Hobbies tractor models on show inside the hall. Outside around a dozen full-size tractors joined approximately the same number of cars, a handful of fairground organs and a trio of stationary engines in the yard behind the Village Centre hall. Outside, a pair of local lorries joined the Ruston engine "Success" to help draw in the public. As well as the two tables of miniature tractors, other models included a collection of model Issetta bubble-cars and 3-wheelers...  More/Images > > >
